Student Volunteer Service Hours
Submitted By Strathroy Soccer on Tuesday, January 20, 2015
The Strathroy Soccer runs on “volunteer power”. Volunteers are mostly parents of current players, but also siblings, grandparents, parents of former players, even active players themselves, and of course, students like yourself.  Strathroy Soccer volunteers give each child the precious gift of their time.

The Strathroy Soccer volunteer foundation ensures that it’s all about what’s good for the kids.  It also makes Soccer in our community very affordable.  Strathroy Soccer operates in a business manner, but volunteers ensure the “profits” are happy, healthy kids playing a sport they enjoy for life.

Coaching may be the most visible volunteer role, but there are many ways to help a team or a soccer association.

There is a Strathroy Soccer volunteer opportunity for everyone.  Volunteering should be a fun experience for you.  It’s a chance to learn something new, or an opportunity to use the skills you already have.  Start out by finding a position or task that interests you.  Then complete the attached Volunteer Application, as well as the Volunteer Consent to Disclosure Form and include all documents required by the school, which will be signed by an authorized Strathroy Soccer representative upon completion of your volunteer hours.

Strathroy Soccer has governed, fostered and promoted the game of soccer to Strathroy and area children since 1961.  Looking back over the course of these years, Strathroy Soccer realizes that the lifeblood of our organization has been, and remains, the dedication of the many volunteers, the parents, and especially the tremendous support received from the businesses and industries, whom without, we could not exist.

New for 2015 Strathroy Soccer will continue to support social media activities such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, & Instragram and would love the support and knowledge of the youth in our community to help build our knowledge working with this medium.
