SUFC 2022 Outdoor Season - Membership Update
Submitted By Technical Director on Wed 02 23, 22
As we continue to put plans in place for the upcoming season, we want to make sure all housekeeping items are in order early so players are ready to hit the pitch as soon as weather permits!  Ontario Soccer like other sports have forms that are required prior to participating each year.

All members are asked to complete the following prior to participating in the 2022 Season:

Rowan’s Law is a yearly requirement supported by the Ontario Government, Ontario Soccer, and Ontario Health. Rowan's Law (Concussion Safety), 2018 makes it mandatory for sports organizations to ensure that athletes under 26 years of age, parents of athletes under 18, coaches, team trainers and officials confirm every year that they have reviewed Ontario's Concussion Awareness Resources.

Please have one form per player filled out.  You can review the form here – https://tinyurl.com/4trxnrvh

Coaches, Trainers, & Managers, complete the form at this link - https://tinyurl.com/2p8avp33

Ontario Soccer Informed Consent to Participate - Ontario Soccer has created new waivers which are mandatory for participation during the 2022 season.  SUFC has made these forms available digitally for all players and coaching staff to complete before participating in any on field activities.

● Parents for Players under the age of 18 can fill out the form here – https://tinyurl.com/2p8bnsjb

Coaches, Trainers, Managers, and players over the age of 18 can fill out the form here https://tinyurl.com/y4nzczd7

At this time there is no requirement by Ontario Soccer, Canada Soccer or our Local Health Unit for Players, Coaches, or Bench Staff to be vaccinated for Covid-19 and there is no requirement to show proof of any of our members Vaccination Status.  As a reminder, the Government of Ontario Proof of Vaccination requirements as they pertain to organized sports are for Indoor facilities only as of September 15th, 2021.

Soccer Programs – Some of our programs are beginning to fill up quickly, and others unfortunately will not be running this year due to low registration numbers.  If you know of someone that is interested in playing soccer they are more then welcome to contact the club at [email protected] for more information.

The SUFC Technical Committee is also looking for Coaches and Bench staff to assist in our membership development.  To register for Coaching & Volunteer Opportunities, please register here - 2022 Coaching Applications

We would like to thank all of our members in advance for filling out the required forms as quick as possible.  As always we look forward to working with all of our membership and cannot wait for another exciting season.

Yours in Soccer,

Jason Kaspersma
