Congratulations to Gus Fabrikis Bursary Recipient - Griffin Simons

On Saturday, November 27th, 2017 at the Elgin Middlesex District Soccer League AGM, long-time SUFC Player and Current Coach, Griffin Simons, was presented with the 2017 Gus Fabrikis Bursary.

To be eligible for this Bursary, any Boy or Girl in their graduating year, playing or refereeing in the EMDSL league can apply. The Bursary applies to person applying and not to any educational institution.  Candidates must submit a resume of playing, coaching and or refereeing activities over their soccer career, a transcript of secondary school marks, and lastly a 500 word essay as to what the game of soccer means to them, and where they would like to be in the future concerning their activities in soccer prior to June 30th of the respective year.

On behalf of the Strathroy United FC Executive, we wish Griffin all the best as he attends Wilfrid Laurier University this year, and will be back to Coach the SUFC U10 (2008) Tier II Rep Boys for our 2018 Outdoor Season.
