Coaching Compensation for the 2019 Outdoor Season

Last night at the SUFC Board meeting the following compensation program was approved for all Coaches & Managers for the 2019 Soccer Season.  SUFC will be reviewing this plan annually as we continue to focus on development and attracting high level coaches for all of our members from U3 - Adult.

Certification - Coaches, Technical Directors, & Managers will be reimbursed 100% of the cost for all necessary Ontario Soccer training courses they are required to take. C License Coaches that take a Provincial C license course or higher will be reimbursed 100% of the cost for any course, provided they remain an active Coach with the Club for a period of 2 Years.

Technical Director - Coaches or Technical Directors who take the Ontario Soccer Designation will be reimbursed 100% of the cost of obtaining certification provided they join, and stay active in, the Club for no less than 3 years. They can be hired on as staff.

Coaches - Coaches will receive as compensation an amount equal to the registration fee for the team they Coach, up to a maximum of $300.00, provided that they have completed all necessary coaching requirements. Assistant Coaches The provisions for Coaches shall also apply to Assistant Coaches. Managers A manager will receive $150.00 as compensation, provided that they have completed all necessary managing requirements.

Travel Costs - Any Coach, Assistant Coach or Manager who does not have a child on the team they coach/manage will receive an additional $150 to go toward travel expenses. Payments The compensation, course reimbursement, and travel cost cheques will be paid to the Coach at the end of the year once all equipment has been handed in.

Payments - shall be limited to one Coach, one Assistant Coach and one Manager per team. In the event that a Coach ceases to be a Coach or active member of the Club during the 2 or 3 year period stated above, the Coach shall repay the club a pro-rated amount based on the length of the term remaining at the time of their departure.

The above is effective for the 2019 Outdoor Season and will be reviewed annually.
