SUFC U3 First Touch Program Information
Submitted By Technical Director on Fri 04 22, 22
The Strathroy
United FC First Touch program is a recreational division open to all players of
any skill level and ability. The program
follows the guidelines of the Ontario Soccer Long Term Player Development
(LTPD) model and is about putting the player first and offering age-appropriate
opportunities for kids to enjoy the game of soccer. Making the game fun is key in teaching and
coaching, so that players will continue in the game and may even coach or
referee as they get older.
Our U3 First Touch Program runs for one hour every Saturday morning from early May until July.

Each weekly session will consist of 30 minutes of skill development and a 15-minute organized game. Program will be run by volunteers to help assist in each players soccer development. Parents will be required to be out and play with their child and help out.
Each player will receive a full Soccer Kit (Uniform) which consists of a Jersey, Shorts, and Socks as well as a ball. This program is made possible because of Tim Hortons Canada and our Local Strathroy Franchise Owners. We are waiting for equipment to come in from our Uniform Supplier who, like everyone else, has experienced delays over the last year.
The Program will be scheduled on our Stadium Field at the Henk Van Dyk Memorial Soccer Field – Yorkview Community Park, 189 York St, Strathroy, Ontario N7G 4A1
On Behalf of Coach Griffin and his entire volunteer staff, we wish you a great season, and look forward to working with you all.
Your’s in Soccer
