Welcome to the 2017 Caradoc Community Shield
Started in 2015, the Caradoc Community Shield is a Fun Tournament where teams from the neighbouring Clubs of Del-Ko-Brydges and Strathroy United FC compete in an event that supports local charities in our community.
Registration: The registration for the tournament is that each registered player must donate a canned good in order to play. Coaches please collect the canned goods and submit them to the registration office (Ricco Foods Soccer Clubhouse) prior to your first game.
At the end of the tournament the winning club will donate the canned goods to a charity of their choice within our community.
Format: Teams will receive three points for a Win and 1 Point for a Tie. The Club with the most points at the end of the day will be declared the winner. In the event of a tie the final game of the day will go into a penalty shootout.
The host club changes from year to year, and we have teams registered from U10 to U18 in our House League and Local League programs. It has been a great way to kick-off the season as well as give teams an opportunity to play the game they love as well as make a difference in our communities.
